Isao Tomita - Clair de Lune

“I saw a synthesizer on the record jacket, behind Bach. For the first time, I discovered that the synthesizer is not an instrument to compose music by using the sounds of existing instruments, but a new instrument or new machine which creates unlimited sound sources”. - Isao Tomita

Isao Tomita is probably one of the most amazing dudes I can think of. While almost everybody reading this is unfamiliar with the name, I do think that his work is somewhat relative to this blog even though I try to stay a little more along the lines of dance music. One day I found an LP of his in a record store and bought it on a whim. This LP was his moog rendition of The Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky. I find this stuff absolutely fascinating. Some of the most creative, artistic & outright whacky stuff out there.

Breakage - Speechless (ft Donaeo)

This Breakage record came out almost a year ago. I got to see him perform maybe 6 months ago in town & he did not disappoint. I have been constantly listening to this record since the day I discovered it.

SKEPTA

Sorry for the lack of posting! I've been out of town, but the jams will commence. This is one of the latest Skepta jams. This record came out just around two weeks ago so be sure to check it out. GRIME.

At Dawn We Rage - Entitled Two Six

Having these guys in my own home town is awesome. I had the awesome opportunity to interview them, watch them perform live, and get to know them personally. This song will be available on Beatport. If you like it then check out their website & like them on facebook.

SABBATH DUBS

I posted that Venetian Snares track the other day & a lot of you guys enjoyed it. These two tracks are dub version of some classic Black Sabbath tracks. True dub meets one of my all time favorite bands. I love these tracks! Let me know if you dig it.

Dada fuggin life.

Sweet Swedish electro house vibes from Dada Life. 'Just Do The Dada' definitely has some bangers. In addition to putting out some really fun dance music, these guys have some of the craziest music videos around. They are well arranged with the structure of the songs. So much fun. The first one is a bit Chucky-esque, while the second video is some what of a soft core banana porno. Check it out!
